Hey there, I’m Laura — a music industry nerd and a connoisseur of cookies. I also love a good greeting card.
Whether you believe in Cosmic DNA or the MBTI Personality Test, Laura Goldfarb Falls is truly an enthusiastic innovator, always seeing new possibilities around her. Imaginative, insightful, playful, and empathetic, this Sagittarius woman and ENFP is guided by transparency, curiosity, connection, and the desire to tell a really good story.
Laura celebrates 10 years as an entrepreneur in the music industry. In 2009 she founded Red Boot PR, a music marketing and public relations agency recognized as an ally for independent artists. Red Boot was awarded “Best PR For Indie Artists” by Examiner.com in 2014, and received the 2016 Best of Venice Award in Media & Entertainment.
In 2017, Laura partnered with artist MILCK to release her single "Quiet." Following the first Women’s March on Washington, “Quiet” went viral; NPR called it the "unofficial anthem” of the movement. Together, Laura and MILCK rode the viral wave, maximizing the independent artist’s exposure with features in Vanity Fair and Entertainment Weekly, and partnerships with the ACLU, Women In The World Summit, and fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff. MILCK then signed with Atlantic Records, and Laura was hired by the label as an independent contractor to lead the artist's social impact and philanthropic endeavors, including a partnership with Revolutions Per Minute to launch the #ICantKeepQuiet Fund.
For nearly 13 years, Laura's been the host and producer of "Jam Session," a weekly music podcast on BTRtoday. Jam Session reports to the Relix/Jambands Radio Chart and brings Laura to major music festivals like Bonnaroo, High Sierra, and Telluride Blues & Brews as official radio support. Jam Session is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Play Music and Tune In.
Laura wears additional hats in the music industry, including that of artist manager, tour manager, music journalist and songwriter. As a registered songwriter with BMI, Laura collaborates with artists to write songs for film and television. Some of her notable placements include the 2016 film starring Jessica Chastain, Miss Sloane, and on the USA Network's SUITS.
Throughout her career, Laura has advocated for education, collaboration and mentorship in the music industry. She independently offers small group and one-on-one mentor sessions for young or aspiring music industry professionals, and independent artists and their teams. For many years, she’s been an official speaker and mentor at the SXSW Music Conference and Festival. Laura’s been featured on Hypebot, TuneCore, Bridge The Atlantic, and Examiner.com’s “Women In Entertainment” series. In 2017, she was given the LA Music Critic Icon Award.
Laura holds a Bachelor's Degree from Boston University's College of Communication. She is a certified Meditation Teacher, having completed a 200-hour training under Charlie Knoles of the Veda Center.
She currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Tim, and their American Bulldog/Pit Bull puppy, Finn.
